SAFARI She's quiet, creative, and determined to make her mark-even if it means defying her parents' expectations. After years of pressure to choose a "real" career, she transfers out of state to major in art and design, with a minor in computer science just to keep the peace. Sophomore year is supposed to be her fresh start. But between late nights sketching, mounting deadlines, and the emotional scars from a recent breakup-where her ex told her he was the problem, not her-the weight starts to pile on fast. AMANI He's the face of the university's basketball team, a criminology major with a gift for observation and a near-photographic memory that helps him piece together details most people miss. But behind the highlights and headlines, he's still healing from a past relationship that left him nearly scarred by life-changing betrayal-one that forced him to question what's real and who he can trust. When their paths cross, neither is looking for anything but space to breathe. In the shared silence, in the late-night talks and moments of unexpected connection, something begins to grow. As they navigate heartbreak, identity, and the weight of expectations, they learn that sometimes love doesn't rescue you-it rebuilds you. ----------------------------- VERY FIRST BOOK! @sirakoze

I wrote this for a writing class that wanted me to write a scene from a movie. I chose Angie Thomas' The Hate U Give. It was an amazing book before it was an amazing movie. This is a very rough draft, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Huey and Riley Freeman are back in a low-key, stylised reboot of the original show, on your wattpad! It's been a year or so since Robert Freeman died. The boys' only legal guardian has left them behind in a white dominated district. But Huey and Riley got those strings, and they pull them. They find themselves in an apartment in a nice view right on the edge of Woodcrest, a mix between "boujee" and "ghetto". They take care of themselves, as well as they can. After all, Huey is almost 15 years old now, and Riley is 13. However, one day, they are sent a notice threatening an investigation and fine unless they don't attend school after summer vacation. So they attend the school, and damn -- that place needs some Riley and Huey Freeman. Whether it be... Riley's "menacing" influence, or Huey's "cynical" one. Please enjoy my story, a social commentary with a similar satrical twist, based around the original series. Only, it has more of a youthful, modern yet authentic flair to it. They learn from their mistakes, and damn right make sure to fix the ones around them.

"Things were good. She shouldn't be complaining. She'd gotten six commissions in her first month of being here. She'd made a friend. Her things-I-like-about-the-inner-city list was getting longer by the day. But it was impossible to shake the feeling that she didn't belong here." Would you take the chance for a better life if it meant leaving everything you love behind? ----- Akila Johnson has grown up in Outer Atlanta, the slums of the city, where public school doesn't go past 5th grade and no one can afford private. Where child labor is still outlawed, so kids have nothing to do between the ages of 10 and 16. Where the people sing and play music and paint and draw, since that's the one thing you can't teach. That is, until an inner-city philanthropist decides to pick an artist from the outer city and pave their way to success. That artist is Akila. Follow her journey as she moves to Inner Atlanta and adjusts to her new life. But just remember- All is not what it seems. ----- An original dystopian short story, written for the author's 11th grade AP Lang & Comp class.
